I've been lucky enough to meet so many INCREDIBLE/HILARIOUS/STRONG people over the last couple of years with MDA and am excited that we now have a chance to continue their mission.
The MDA Muscle Walk allows us all to start 2012 by doing something positive!
You can see pictures from my visit to Summer Camp on Facebook.
**I support MDA because of all the tremendous things they do for the families they serve and I hope you'll share that enthusiasm and join our team!
I may
have been born in a
field in Iowa...well not IN a field..probably in a barn surrounded by a
field..
my Midwest upbringing included a lot
of corn, pigs and soccer
I
guess I snagged my 1st radio job by accident (is accident the word I'm
looking for...maybe it's persistance...I called the program director at KCLD in
St. Cloud, Minnesota - where I was going to school - every week for a month,
then added email, stopped by 'just in case he was free'..called more and finally
got an interview and hired...maybe "stalking" was the word I was
searching for)..
I also worked in Little Rock, Arkansas (its country, but a little more banjo-ey
than KJ 97), Austin, Texas (I still
love Texas women...grrrr..)...moved to LA,
landed in Chicago, and am now glad to be able to tan in December.
Carter
Carter - Tiptoe-ing across hardwood floors in Heaven ;c)
Super sad, and I miss my buddy...Carter ended up with doggy lymphoma this summer, and put up an awesome fight. When it become too much, it happened quickly, and I'm thinking he had one of the best doggy-lives ever! He was happy right up to the last day.
He may be up in Heaven with his cone on, getting the rundown on what really causes thunderstorms (see video below haha):
I DO know that The Hunger Games is the huge new phenom - so I should probably download it on my mom's Nook to read - but I don't actually know much about it. I think its the new Twilight or Harry Potter.
Anyway, we can all learn about it together - pretend you haven't seen this when it shows duringSuper Bowl XLVI on Sunday, but here's the first peek into the new The Hunger Games trailer:
After the Roseanne Presidential news today, I've had voting on my mind, and thought I'd share Brad Pitt's view on a slightly less infuriating vote... To Letterman's dismay (note the $200 he had taped to his desk for Brad this week), Brad showed up on The Daily Show and chatted about HOW Brad believes Oscar nominees should be chosen
**I'm really just posting this video, cuz I know it will raise my "clicks" (admit it, you came here to see Brad Pitt)
Roseanne Barr JUST filed official documents for a shot at becoming the next President of the United States. I'm serious. She would like to be the official candidate for the Green Party, and will apparently be running on an agenda of legalizing pot, and selling it domestically (probably a good way to raise some untouched national revenue..)
If you haven't already red-flagged this idea....here's a video version of my argument against Roseanne being our lead patriot:
